Elaine Amo Kafle
Elaine Amo Kafle is a registered nurse who was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder I (One) at the age of 29. She was hospitalized three times since the age of 13, but now works as a community college professor/program director with a passion and joy for teaching. In “My Manic Mind,” she unabashedly shares her story.
In “Nursing Students with Learning Disabilities,” Elaine reveals the thoughts of eight research participants when it comes to utilizing college accommodations. She also discloses her own hidden disability, Bipolar Disorder I.
